Benefits of the USA E2 Employment Second Preference Visa

The USA E2 Employment Second Preference visa is a non-immigrant visa that allows foreign entrepreneurs to enter and work in the United States. This visa is an excellent option for investors, executives, and other highly skilled workers who are looking to establish a business in the United States. In this article, we will discuss everything you need to know about the USA E2 visa.

First, it is essential to note that the USA E2 visa is only available to nationals of specific countries that have bilateral investment treaties with the United States. To qualify for the visa, applicants must be able to demonstrate that they have invested or are actively in the process of investing a substantial amount of funds in a US business.

Another essential aspect of the USA E2 Employment Second Preference visa is that it allows for the visa holder’s spouse and dependents to join them in the United States. The spouse of a USA E2 visa holder may apply for employment authorization and work in the United States while any dependent children of the visa holder may attend school in the USA on this visa.

To apply for the USA E2 visa, the applicant must submit a comprehensive business plan that outlines their proposed US-based investment project. The business plan should be detailed, provide technical specifications, and financial projections. Additionally, the applicant must provide evidence that they have obtained the required investment capital or are in the process of obtaining it. Overall, a successful visa application will show that the investment project is viable and will create employment opportunities in the United States.

The USA E2 visa is not a permanent residency visa, and as such, the visa holder must regularly renew the visa. The visa is typically granted for a period of two to five years, depending on the Immigration officer’s discretion. However, the visa holder may renew their visa an unlimited number of times, provided they continue to meet the visa criteria.

One of the advantages of the USA E2 visa is that there is no specific minimum investment amount required by law. However, the US government has generally set a benchmark of around $100,000 to $200,000 as the minimum investment. Additionally, the visa requires the applicant to have a controlling interest in the US business they wish to establish.
