The USA EB-3 Immigration Visa for Skilled Workers is designed to help foreign nationals with certain occupational skills and backgrounds to gain permanent resident status in the United States. EB-3 stands for “employment-based third preference,” which means that the program prioritizes applicants who have a job offer in the United States and who possess skills that are in high demand but are not considered “exceptional.”
The USA EB-3 program is broken down into three categories:
Skilled Workers: This category is for individuals who have at least two years of experience in a skilled occupation and who have been offered a permanent job in the United States that requires those skills.
Professionals: This category is for individuals with bachelor’s degrees and who have been offered a permanent job in the United States that requires a degree.
Other Workers: This category is for individuals who are doing unskilled labor, have less than two years of experience, and have been offered a permanent job in the United States that requires that labor.
The USA EB-3 program is similar to the other employment-based immigration programs in that it requires the employer to sponsor the applicant. The employer must file a Labor Certification with the Department of Labor, which verifies that there are no qualified U.S. workers available to fill the position. Once the certification has been approved, the employer can file an Immigrant Petition for Alien Worker, which is the form used to request permanent resident status for the applicant.
While the USA EB-3 program has certain requirements, it is generally considered to be more accessible than other employment-based immigration programs. This is because it does not require applicants to have “exceptional” skills, as the EB-1 and EB-2 programs do. Additionally, there is no minimum investment required like there is for the EB-5 program.
The EB-3 program is popular among immigrants who work in healthcare, education, and skilled trades such as electricians, plumbers, and mechanics. These occupations are in high demand in the United States and often have a shortage of qualified workers.
USA EB-3 Visa is a preference category for United States employment-based green card/permanent residency. Semi-skilled workers or other professionals qualify for this type of the USA work visa.
The eligibility is judged through education, skills, and work experience:
The major benefits of the EB-3 Visa

2. Spouse and unmarried children under 21 years of age are permissible to accompany the worker to the USA.
